The Queensland Government is investing in infrastructure to build, maintain, improve and renew education facilities across Queensland.

As part of this investment, the Department of Education (department) has been investigating options for the future of Block A. Block A has been identified as being in poor structural condition and not compliant with Building Code of Australia standards.

The department undertook extensive community consultation from Friday 22 July to Sunday 14 August 2022 to seek feedback and understand local preferences for the future of the building.

The department would like to thank those who provided a submission and took part in the community engagement.

We received 214 pieces of feedback throughout the three-week consultation period.

Next steps

The department is considering all feedback provided by the community, alongside expert technical advice. The community will be kept up-to-date as the project progresses.
